  • REMOTE – If you live over 50 miles from Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL, this role is remote. However, occasional office visits may be required based on business needs, with advance communication for such requests.

Job Description

Duties: Adtalem Global Education Inc. seeks an IT Auditor II in Chicago, IL to plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) audit projects. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of IT audit projects. Plan IT audit project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Test, gather, analyze, and evaluate data and documentation, prepare supporting workpapers, and audit reports to document the scope, procedures performed, findings, and conclusions in an organized manner. Prepare recommendations to management regarding corrective actions and improvement of processes to ensure efficient and effective IT and financial controls. Document existing processes and perform tests of internal controls over financial reporting related to IT general controls, information security, pre/post system implementations, IT governance, and operational areas through interviews, observation, inquiry, and process flows. Identify risks and key control activities, while driving process improvement. Review internal controls for various processes including SOX, operational, regulatory, and information technology and work closely with the external auditors to align on scope, timing, reliance approach and delivery of working papers. Work closely with the external auditors to determine scope, timing, reliance approach and delivery of audit workpapers. Communicate within the Internal Audit department to keep team abreast of changes. Local telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week. Salary: $82,243 to $102,803


Qualifications

Requirements: Master's degree in Information Systems, Accounting or a related field plus one year of IT audit experience. Must have one year of experience with each of the following: (1) Windows and Linux OS; (2) IIA Standards; (3) 2013 COSO, NIST, COBIT, and ITIL Frameworks; (4) Oracle and SQL databases; and (5) SOX compliance auditing.
