In our U.S. locations, we operate on a hybrid work model with three in-office days and two remote days per week. Starting Q1 2025, we will transition to a four-day in-office schedule, Monday–Thursday. Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Vice President for Regulatory Affairs has responsibility for identifying federal, state and provincial regulatory requirements as they impact the organization. Operations and working with the various Home Office functions to assure compliance with those regulations. The Vice President will develop and maintain relationships with key regulatory agencies to assure the organization's interests are represented in the consideration and promulgation of new regulation and the impact and scope of regulations are accurately and timely assessed, communicated and monitored.


Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains awareness of all regulatory approval and compliance requirements to 1) inform senior management of potential regulatory, compliance or quality risks and necessary corrective actions, and 2) ensure the promotion of awareness of current regulatory, quality and compliance requirements throughout the organization.
  • Conducts Management Reviews with senior management to report and discuss the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s regulatory compliance, and to identify any need for improvement
  • Provides regulatory requirements training and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to company employees. Form strong alliances with peers and externally with strategic partners for the purpose of completing organizational objectives
  • Works with operations to enhance process compliance and robustness across institutions resulting in improved quality, compliance and financial performance
  • Leads the review, analysis, and guidance of failure investigations and corrective actions referred to Regulatory Affairs
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to address regulatory questions from all business units
  • Establishes and ensures alignment of regulatory compliance metrics across all institutions
  • Performs duties of the “Management Representative” and represent the company before regulatory agencies and authorization agencies
  • Develops the annual budget for Regulatory Compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Required, Doctorate Degree Preferred.
  • 10 years progressive management experience in large multi-provincial university operations with experience in directing regulatory compliance.  Required
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, methodology, and procedures for the development and promulgation of regulations. 

  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid laws

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with regulatory agencies 

  • Demonstrated leadership ability within organizations 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through mentoring, coaching and consulting 

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills


Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $137846.78 and $241870.90. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
