Job Description

Duties: Adtalem Global Education Inc. seeks a Senior IT Engineer in Chicago, IL to serve as a technical lead for specific MuleSoft and TIBCO development and integration projects. Design, code, test, implement and maintain high-quality technology solutions and integration patterns. Perform complex code design activities. Participate in all phases of the scrum process (story, development, estimation, burn downs, continuous integration and retrospectives). Create and contribute to the development of functional and technical specifications. Mentor junior development staff in coding, design, continuous integration and Agile development methodologies. Interact with business and user experience teams to ensure technology solutions are fully aligned with requirements. Identify development and integration approaches and address data concerns with input from management, release team members, and software development team members. Enhance release automation. Provide Level 4 support for production issues. Utilize GWT, J2EE, EJB, Java Script, REST, JSON XML, XMPP, BOSH, CSS, Git, Subversion, Jenkins, Java frameworks (Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Junit, Velocity), Web 2.0, and MuleSoft platform including Mule Run time, available connectors, Design Center, API Management, RAML, Anypoint Management Center, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, MUnit, Maven, and CI/CD. Up to 100% telecommuting permitted. 


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 8 progressive years of experience in commercial software design and development.
  • Must have 4 years of experience with (1) multiplatform environments; (2) TIBCO tools including Businessworks, Active Database Adapter, File Adapter, Peoplesoft Adapter, and Policy Manager/Director; (3) GWT, J2EE, EJB, Java Script, REST, JSON XML, XMPP, BOSH, and CSS; (4) Git, Subversion, Jenkins, Java frameworks (Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Junit, Velocity), and Web 2.0; (5) MuleSoft platform including Mule Run time, available connectors, Design Center, and API Management; and (6) Designing and developing APIs with the Anypoint Platform using RAML, Anypoint Management Center, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, MUnit, Maven, and CI/CD.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $134,118 - $149,076 Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
