Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Director, Corporate social media strategy is responsible for shaping the vision and strategy of Adtalem Global Education’s corporate social channels. This individual will drive our corporate brand voice and narrative through social and digital media and grow our share of voice through increased brand awareness and engagement. This role will also be responsible for developing a social media and digital thought leadership strategy for the CEO and key executives.

The director, corporate social media strategy will oversee a team charged with thinking outside the box to tell our brand narrative through the development of engaging and powerful content. Reporting into the senior director, corporate communications, this individual will be a key member of the Global Communications Team and will collaborate with creative, marketing and social media leads across Adtalem and our five institutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong strategic focus, leadership skills, social media expertise, writing skills and excellent organizational and relationship building skills. A strong background in corporate messaging development and digital strategy, as well as a passion for experimenting and continuously optimizing content efforts is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Lead and create social strategies to maximize reach, resonance and results of campaigns that deliver branding, acquisition and retention goals.

- Continuously audit, measure and optimize our social media channels and content to drive best-in-class results
- Lead the development and governance of the enterprise’s corporate social messaging architecture in order to competitively position and grow the company’s share of voice.
- Lead, cultivate and collaborate with various leaders and departments to create relevant, engaging and powerful content that elevates the brand through the company’s corporate social media channels and executive social platforms

- Develop CEO and key executive social media and digital thought leadership strategies to elevate their digital presence as key spokespeople for the brand
- Coordinate with internal, corporate and brand communications teams, to define and develop integrated communications campaigns across channels
- Strategize, recommend and implement new tactics and channels to develop brand awareness.
- Analyze KPI/metric reports and offer recommendations to optimize future efforts.
- Drive adoption of brand, message and digital communications standards, supporting best practices and key metrics.
- Train, mentor, and onboard new digital staff

Qualifications

- Strategic, results-driven leader with experience formulating multi-faceted social media strategies, recommending optimal channel usage, timing, and cadence

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in social media marketing and/or communications or related field
- 10 years of experience in related positions, including 3-5 years people management experience, icnluding developing and mentoring a team

- Natural storyteller with excellent speaking, writing, and editing skills; able to easily distill messages into believable, actionable content.

- Ability to nurture and retain leadership and employee relationships
-Deep understanding of how Paid Search/SEM interacts with Display Media, Paid Social, SEO, Mobile, Social, and Attribution
- Strong knowledge of corporate brand development and messaging
- Ability to use various tools to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns beyond the initial interaction
- Knowledge and prior experience driving successful B2C campaigns with measurable results
- Strong writing, presenting, and communication skills are a must
- Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically and make innovative recommendations that achieve goals
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Strong knowledge of social media management, monitoring and listening tools
- Strong management, coaching and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills; must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization


Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $97,253.99 and $201,931.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
