Job Description

We are seeking a talented AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions that enhance educational outcomes. You will work at the intersection of innovative AI technology and educational impact, creating intelligent systems that personalize learning, automate assessments, and provide actionable insights for educators and students. 

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.  
  • Develop Agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making, task planning, and tool use in dynamic environments.  
  • Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance LLM performance with external knowledge sources.  
  • Build and optimize Generative AI solutions, including large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, and multimodal systems.  
  • Create and maintain validation frameworks to ensure model accuracy, fairness, robustness, and compliance.  
  • Develop and integrate observability tools to monitor model performance, data drift, latency, and system health in real time.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.  
  • Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.  
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in AI/ML and apply them to real-world use cases.  
  • Document processes, models, and systems for internal knowledge sharing and compliance.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
  • Three (3) plus years in machine learning engineering or data science roles. 
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks.   
  • Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases.   
  • Experience in designing and developing learning tools for Students and Faculties with LTI integration. 
  • Experience in Azure or GCP platform.  
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD. 
  • Deep understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms. 
  • Knowledge of validation and testing frameworks.   
  • Knowledge of recommendation systems and personalization algorithms. 
  • Proven ability to work in agile teams and deliver high-quality, user-centric AI products.  
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
  • Understanding of educational theory and learning sciences principles.
  • Experience working with educational data and assessment methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles. 
  • Familiarity with educational technology standards and regulations. 
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow). 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $74,064.94 and $133,901.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
