Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

Adtalem is seeking a Third Party Risk Management Analyst to be responsible for managing and optimizing the third party risk management strategies under the direction of the Purchasing Manager to achieve intended business objectives. He/she/they shall use critical risk management skills to maintain and improve the Adtalem Third Party Risk Management program and seek continuous improvement to drive innovation for risk assessments.  The Third Party Risk Management Analyst requires strong  third-party risk management background, influencing, communication, creativity, partnership-building, problem solving, and system administration skills.

He/she/they shall partner with function and institution leaders to train colleagues on processes and provide ad-hoc reporting needs. He/she/they reports directly to the Purchasing Manager within the Supply Management Organization.


Responsibilities

  • Be a champion of Adtalem’s third-party risk management processes
  • Play a key role in managing the third-party risk management system and continue to drive automation of processes and reporting.
  • Contribute to and maintain accurate inventory of information relating to the Third Party Risk program
  • Work cross functionally with the Third Party Risk Management Committee to facilitate the third-party risk process
  • Analyze risk screenings to determine the need to escalate to the Third Party Risk Management Committee
  • Support incident response efforts related to third-party incidents, breaches, or security events.
  • Provide training and third-party risk management software support to business owners as needed
  • As a member of the Supply Management Organization (SMO), initiate and assist with process improvement projects.
  • Assist in updating policies and revising frameworks for the administration of the third-party risk monitoring and reporting capabilities
  • Advocate SMO capabilities to business stakeholders by demonstrating value and fostering awareness regarding the risk assessment process
  • Independently perform tasks from end to end with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3+ years business experience;
  • 2-3 years third party risk or related security experience
  • Strong working knowledge of third party risk strategies and best practices
  • Strong data analytic skills
  • Process improvement and project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn risk management, and related systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player.  Creative, influential, unselfish problem solver
  • Attendance or participation in external industry events and/or membership in third party risk management organizations highly encouraged
  • Preference given to candidates with a background using ProcessUnity or other risk management software

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $47766.34 and $86253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
