Job Description

Solutions Analyst

The Solutions Analyst is responsible for a broad range of tasks on large complexity projects from Product Management to Solution Analysis to coordinating development of communication and training programs related to technologies delivered by the Information Technology (IT) organization. The individual will apply their expert knowledge of business process analysis and design and technology to solve client needs. Individual will partner with business owners to deliver technology solutions. Individual will also partner with other members of the IT Organization to develop process improvements that result in more streamlined and effective project processes. The Solutions Analyst will interact with a wide range of colleagues from Academic Deans to hands-on technology and business professionals. This position will understand the technology and information needs of the business to determine which internal and vendor technology solutions are the right solutions for business needs. Working independently, or with a team of colleagues, the Solutions Analyst will lead the design, recommendation, planning, development and implementation of large, complex project-specific IT solutions to meet tactical and strategic business and IT goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and deliver business value.
  • Create & manage the technical product roadmap aligned with the business capability roadmap.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Scope and prioritize product backlog based on business goals & objectives.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Drive product launches including working with change management, training, executives, and other product management team members.
  • Evaluate & measure business value delivered.
  • Research and present findings of what competitors are doing and introduce those ideas into our product model.
  • Works with business sponsors to ensure that appropriate approvals are gathered at appropriate tollgates.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.     • - Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related discipline.
    • - 3 –5 years Product Management experience.
    • - 3 –5 years as a Business and/or Business Systems Analyst
    • Prior experience in a software or technology Organization; higher education or academic technology experience a strong plus
    • Experience with SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word required - Experience working in a software or technology organization; higher education or academic technology experience preferred
    • Experience with Salesforce Preferred.
    • Experience supporting projects of medium levels of complexity - Experience working in an environment which follows a structured development process - Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members

We are a high-performing team that meets in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to our Chicago OR Maryland office and given the flexibility to work remotely. We are looking for someone to be on-site 2-3 days a week.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59923.09 and $108334.92. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
