Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance is to ensure that the excellence of digital learning products and courses is maintained. The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for strategic development of the quality assurance standards, plans, and procedures for all digital content and online learning products delivered by Adtalem partner institutions. As the leader of a highly collaborative team, the Senior Manager provides active leadership, training, and feedback to Quality Assurance Learning Experience Designers and Instructional Technologies and other personnel involved in all phases of the product development cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Quality Assurance team of Learning Experience Designers and Instructional Technologists.
  • Collaborating with Product Development teams and academic partners to develop and continuously maintain the quality standards, quality assurance plans, and quality assurance implementation processes  to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of digital content and online learning products offered by Adtalem institutions.
  • Providing leadership in writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procured for program design and product evaluation to attain quality products in the most economical and efficient way possible.
  • Supervising the formal and informal review of digital content and online learning products by Quality Assurance team members at predetermined points throughout the life cycle of a product.
  • Creating and continuously validating the quality assurance documentation to ensure alignment with institutional partner quality standards, brand promise, and the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Managing internal and external resources to help meet product development standards.
  • Managing and training Digital Learning Solutions staff and contractors and provide ongoing support and feedback to strengthen the knowledge base and competence of the team.
  • Modeling and coaching others in healthy organizational practices, encouraging collaborative problem solving, and inspiring innovation in thinking and in practice.
  • Providing oversight and evaluation of the quality of work being performed by internal staff and external vendors.
  • Designing and leading training and mentoring programs to support the Digital Learning Solutions team.
  • Defining evaluation criteria and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training and mentoring programs that support the Digital Learning Solutions Team.
  • Collaborating with Digital Learning Solutions leadership to develop standard processes for analyzing quality of digital content and online learning products.
  • Providing leadership and professional development to all team members on the Quality Assurance team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree Preferred
  • 7+ years in educational technology, instructional design, or related field.
  • 3+ years management and leadership experience in a professional services setting with internal employees, independent contractors, and/or vendor staff, preferably including digital product design and quality assurance expertise.
  • Proven experience in leading quality assurance initiatives required, preferably for educational cirriculum or services.
  • Experience in leading complex change-management initiatives.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and work effectively without clear, concise parameters.
  • Proficient with project management practices and tools.
  • Willingness to explore and apply technologies and automation to day-to-day processes.
  • Ability to lead a large team effectively in achieving the stated goals and objectives set by senior management.
  • Ability to apply contemporary quality assurance practices to ensure high quality digital product content.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas to senior management.
  • Experience in developing budgets and forecasts and analyzing variances with actual operating results is a plus.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
