We are a high-performing team that meets in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered Hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to our Chicago office and given the flexibility to work remotely. We are looking for someone to be on-site 2-3 days a week.


Job Description

Senior Manager, Information Technology (IT) Risk Management

Overview

The position is responsible for interfacing with the Internal Audit (IA) team and external auditors on behalf of IT, working with the IT team to identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring efficient interaction between IT and Audit and ensuring efficient and effective operation of IT controls.  In addition, this position is responsible for developing and executing the Risk Management roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Own IT controls matrix and accountable for overall operation of IT controls​.
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Internal Audit (IA).
  • Work closely with IT, IA, and external audit partners to plan the audit calendar and coordinate audit requests.
  • Liaise between IT control owners and auditors to confirm control deficiencies and corrective actions.  Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
  • Accountable for onboarding new controls, systems and colleagues​.
  • Proactively communicate IT environment changes to IA to assess changes in internal controls and scope.  Oversee implementation of internal control changes.
  • Serve on IT/Cybersecurity Risk Committee.
  • Provide counsel to all levels of IT organization regarding matters of risk.
  • Maintain a current understanding of industry best practices.
  • Develop and execute IT’s Risk Management roadmap.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years risk management experience.
  • Previous Experience as IT Auditor Desirable
  • Familiarity with the audit concepts of internal controls identification, design, reviews of operating effectiveness, and how IT controls relate to financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and drive timely completion of deliverables.
  • Understanding of the COSO 2013, COBIT, ISO 2700x, and NIST frameworks Desirable, but not required.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $77996.84 and $140851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
