Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance: 

Adtalem Global Education Inc. seeks Senior IT Engineers in Chicago, IL to analyze, design, build, test, implement and maintain software solutions to meet key business requirements using Enterprise Application Integration technologies in compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Actively participate as Scrum team member in all phases of Scrum process including story, development, estimation, burn downs, continuous integration and retrospectives. Create and contribute to development of functional and technical specifications. Interact with teams to ensure technology solutions are fully aligned with requirements. Work with others on development and integration approaches and addressing data concerns. Stay current on targeted platform functionality and enhancements. Build and work with Release team to enhance release automation. Research and implement new development and integration techniques and technologies. Provide administration and application support of the MuleSoft and TIBCO integrations. Fine tune parameters and models to obtain optimized performance and utilization of system resources. Apply new application patches, releases, and upgrades. Maintain the overall health of the Business Applications and Integration systems. Provide 24/7 support for the Integration systems and responsible for the support and administration of MuleSoft CloudHub Anypoint Platform. Act as the primary focal point to escalate, solve, and provide root-cause analysis for critical production issues. Run diagnostics as needed, document problems and resolutions, prioritize problems and assess impact of issues. Escalate global issues to the correct team and see them through to resolution. Provide outage reports. Provide operational and infrastructure support for software versions, upgrades, High Availability, and capacity planning. Interact with the development, Network, Unix, Windows and DBA teams to ensure that all the Integration applications built in house are into our current standards and design principles. Up to 100% telecommuting permitted. Multiple positions open. Annual salary: $115,112 - $149,076


Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field plus 3 years (or Bachelor's degree plus 5 progressive years) of commercial software development experience in (1) design, coding, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of MuleSoft APIs, MuleSoft Anypoint and CloudHub; (2) designing, developing, and configuring APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals and API analytics based on technical specifications with MuleSoft API manager, Anypoint Platform using RAML, Anypoint Management Center, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, MUnit, Maven, and CI/CD; (3) orchestrating integration use cases involving multiple systems and API layers; (4) MuleSoft platform including Mule runtime, available connectors, Design Center, scalable Mule flows, error handling, logging, monitoring and alerting mechanisms in Mule, and Mule Installation, Configuration and Upgrades; (5) Access Management and Certificate Management; (6) TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO Active Database Adapters, TIBCO File Adapter, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Enterprise Messaging System; (7) REST/JSON, SOAP, XML and Java; (8) Java frameworks, Web 2.0 technologies and frameworks; and (9) continuous integration tools, version control tools, collaboration platforms, and packaging and deploying software across multiple environments.
