Job Description

The position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and capacity management for all Adtalem Global Education systems as directed by management and senior staff.  This position will provide 2nd level support and mentoring for Associate Systems Engineers and support staff.

  • Designs, installs, configure supports, optimize and administer server and/or network systems and applications.Analyzes project needs/requirements and recommends solutions to enable enterprise integration.
  • Develops and implements systems and/or network standards, processes, and security.
  • Communicates with vendors to obtain configurations and best practice recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves help desk tickets as assigned.
  • Shares on-call responsibilities for after hours support, as required.
  • Attends vendor training/conferences and presentations for continuing skills development. Trains and mentors team members and other Adtalem Global Education technical resources as necessary.
  • Occasional travel to a variety of Adtalem Global Education locations
  • Completes other duties as assigned. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Networking, Required or
  • related field, Required or
  • Equivalent industry experience Required
  • Three (3) of progressive relevant industry experience Required
  • Ability to interact professionally with a variety of institutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Desire to grow knowledge and skill set through on-the-job training, formal classroom training, and independent research

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $71907.71 and $130001.91. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
