Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Business Operations Manager, oversees multiple operational activities that ensure the effective delivery of services to students, as well as internal and external partners. This role adapts to evolving strategic and operational needs, drives innovation at scale, and supports compliance, audits, and quality assurance. The Manager is responsible for improving efficiency across shared operations, aligning stakeholders to achieve results, and leveraging technological solutions to enhance outcomes. In addition, the position leads a team that manages audit and compliance functions related to Student Finance and Registrar Operations/Academic processes.


Responsibilities

  • Manage key projects across multiple institutions, ensuring seamless, student-centric processes to deliver exceptional business performance results.
  • Provide day-to-day management to key functions and drive compliant delivery of services across the shared operations function.
  • Lead project initiatives both individually and as part of a team. Plan and execute effective project plans, facilitate the prioritization and completion of projects, including project briefings, progress status reporting, defining KPIs, measuring success, and generating project ideas.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships to drive process improvement initiatives and prioritize operational requirements.
  • Partner with other institutional partners to gather and provide feedback to ensure results are aligned with strategic institutional objectives.
  • Measure and monitor the work of individual contributors, providing feedback, coaching, and recognition to support career growth and development, as well as supporting quality outcomes.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to ensure visibility of key accomplishments and issues.
  • Manage and resolve issues that may jeopardize strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 4+ years experience in change management, project management, process improvement & implementation, etc.- Required
  • Must be considered a Subject Matter Expert for their represented area, including key systems knowledge (i.e. Banner, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Demonstrated skills include facilitation, process mapping, policy creation, project management, leadership/management and colleague development.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Strong analytical skills required to identify trends and improvement processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to set priorities and deadlines to ensure projects are completed.
  • Advanced skills in managing multiple, competing priorities.
  • Advanced organizational, coordination and project management skills; strong facilitation skills.
  • Experience in objectively evaluating current processes for opportunities to optimize.
  • Interdepartmental communication, collaboration, and end-to-end process performance focused.

 


Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $85,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
