Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance:

Adtalem Global Education is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across our MedVet segment. This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and is passionate about driving growth and student success.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll oversee multiple projects focused on program development, policy changes, and operational improvements. You’ll work cross-functionally with academic leaders, legal and regulatory teams, technical staff, and external partners to ensure smooth implementation aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project scope, resources, and business impact; identify challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining key activities, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Track progress, document milestones, and proactively advance project execution.
  • Guide business leaders through approval processes for planning and implementation.
  • Research and interpret policies, integrating them into execution strategies.
  • Prioritize projects based on revenue goals, resource availability, marketing timelines, and readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, academic, student finance, marketing, IT, and operational policies.
  • Assess readiness for official approvals (e.g., OK-to-Recruit) and advise senior leadership.
  • Communicate project plans and updates to stakeholders and implementation teams.
  • Participate in issue resolution and implement effective solutions.
  • Represent Central Services and MedVet Operational Excellence on steering committees and related initiatives.
  • Lead project teams in a matrixed environment, coaching and developing team members.
  • Prepare and deliver project status presentations tailored to various audiences—from executives to subject matter experts.
  • Communicate project progress and risks, especially regarding changes in scope, resources, or timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Manage additional projects as assigned by MedVet Operational Excellence leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and skilled project leader with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s in Business or Project Management is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle project management experience, with solid knowledge of PMBOK or equivalent methodologies.
  • Experience in an academic enterprise is a definite plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify effective business solutions.
  • Proven initiative and ability to advance projects independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable interacting across all levels of the organization and thriving in a fast-paced, multi-initiative environment.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility by consistently meeting project milestones, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Skilled in managing both internal and external resources, including vendors.
  • Capable of making sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in project management tools and practices.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $127957.05. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
