Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance:

The Senior Program Manager, Faculty, is responsible for supporting and creating faculty education and training at the university. This role supports faculty in rank and promotion activities and leads all university/college designations and professional credentials. The Senior Program Manager will develop and deliver educational materials for the faculty of Chamberlain. They will guide faculty growth with effective approaches that promote exceptional faculty preparation at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager will evaluate the effectiveness of scholarship, teaching excellence, and service opportunities for faculty, ensuring continuous quality improvement of teaching/learning materials and modalities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with university leadership to identify faculty needs and deliver educational offerings that advance faculty effectiveness and professional development.
  • Recruit and oversee facilitators and subject matter experts (SMEs), ensuring high-quality course content and delivery.
  • Complete training to launch the Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) designation, expanding the program and writing the curriculum for all  health professions faculty (Nursing, PA, Social Work, Public Health).

  • Collaborate with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to ensure compliance with credentialing standards and enhance professional development opportunities.
  • Lead reaccreditation efforts for all professional organization credentials, such as the Center of Excellence designation.
  • Serve as a resource person and mentor for faculty and program leadership.
  • Drive improved outcomes by monitoring and tracking results against goals and outcomes.
  • Provide strategic direction for faculty development communication campaigns.
  • Evaluate and update program materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Recommend and utilize technology to implement faculty training and development cost-effectively.
  • Lead large-scale university-wide projects to improve faculty retention and demonstrate faculty excellence.
  • Develop faculty curriculum to support professional development and best practices in teaching and learning in higher education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage the continuing education program awarded by the CU accrediting agency, ensuring faculty and others can earn credits and continue their education.
  • Oversee the submission and approval of courses that nursing faculty and others will take, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Assist in course development by recruiting SMEs for various courses, particularly those emerging from the nursing field.
  • Ensure Chamberlain University remains compliant with all rules and regulations related to continuing education.
  • Approve course content to maintain high standards and relevance.
  • Hire and manage SMEs to develop and deliver specialized course content.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution (Required)
    • PhD in Nursing or DNP (Preferred)
  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of related experience in higher education with a proven track record of success as a faculty member (Required)
    • 3+ years of significant experience in a position of academic leadership (Required)
    • 3+ years of experience teaching in an online environment (Required)
    • 3+ years of curriculum development experience (Required)
    • 1+ year of previous scholarship commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor or above (Required)
  • Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of current research related to andragogy, particularly in higher education settings
    • Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices
    • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
    • Ability to manage a variety of business and vendor resources
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency with project management practices and tools
    • Capability to influence and instill credibility in administrative team peers and subordinates by meeting project milestones, deadlines, and budgets
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
    • Effective and consistent interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution, and management skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Knowledge of equity-aligned curriculum development and pedagogy
    • Knowledge of competency-based education curriculum delivery and development
  • Licenses and Certifications:

    • Current unencumbered registered nurse license (Preferred)
    • Teacher and Learning in Post-Secondary Education certification (Preferred)

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $145,077.09. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
