Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator oversees multiple accounting functions, including vendor invoice processing, vendor statement review, report production and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Processing of invoices through APA, an automated invoice imaging and routing platform.
  • Matching invoices to PO’s utilizing 3 way matching process.
  • Assist with month end accruals and month end close.
  • Manages the unclaimed property, including diligence of outstanding checks and tracking of escheated funds.
  • Perform monthly analyses of open payables and credits.
  • Prepare excel statements, reconciliations and uploads to distribute charges throughout the organization using Excel add-in’s.
  • Process International wires using multiple bank accounts.
  • Create vendor accounts, maintenance and gather W9’s.
  • Assist with yearly 1099 reporting and filings.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues and vendors.
  • Assist AP manager with special projects as assigned.
  • Completes other duties as needed and assigned.
  • Correspond with vendors and responds to AP inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong experience with automated AP systems and standard AP processes.
  • Outstanding collaborative and teamwork skills, including the ability to cross-train in multiple daily AP functions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on company needs.
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs required.
  • Preferred working knowledge of Lawson Accounts Payable module.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.15 and $32.86. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
