Job Description

The Irwindale, CA, campus of Chamberlain University is seeking a passionate and experienced academic leader to join our team as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with our campus-based BSN program. In this pivotal role, you’ll help shape the future of nursing education by driving academic excellence, supporting faculty, and enhancing student outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead faculty in delivering engaging, evidence-based instruction that supports student success.
  • Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with campus leadership to foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop faculty through coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor student performance metrics and implement strategies to improve retention and graduation rates.
  • Serve as a key liaison between academic affairs and other departments to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Support strategic initiatives that advance Chamberlain’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing required; doctorate preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a nursing program at the college level.
  • At least 2 years of academic leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, academic operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to student success and faculty development.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $135,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
