Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, dependable, driven college student who is interested in pursuing a career in corporate communications. As a Social Media and Content Intern at Adtalem Global Education, you will assist with various aspects of content strategy, creation, and management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media, graphic and video production, blogging, storytelling, and more while contributing to Adtalem’s brand awareness.

Our internship entails a 20-hour weekly commitment and is located in Chicago. While our hours offer flexibility, we look forward to having you at our office occasionally (based on your availability) for collaborative work with our teams. We are looking for this intern to start in the role immediately. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish engaging social media posts, articles, and blogs while identifying pertinent industry trends.
  • Generate social media assets, including graphics and videos.
  • Assist in tracking content performance and contribute to reports for strategy refinement.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and help align internal and external messaging.
  • Stay abreast of industry and social media trends for innovative and creative approaches.
  • Contribute to community management efforts.
  • Provide additional support to the team as required.

Qualifications

  • Junior status or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with business use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
  • Strong writing skills for short-form and long-form content creation
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments and projects
  • Creative mindset with an eye for visual design and aesthetics
  • Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
  • Social media management experience is a plus
