Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance


Partnering closely with the RUSM academic leadership, this leader will provide both course and program development thought leadership and will design, lead and manage implementation of instructional improvement including emerging technologies that support online learning, academic program, curriculum and faculty development, and supports organizational development and enhanced student experience resulting in improved student outcomes and increased business results (enrollment and persistence).

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Adtalem Health interface and account leader for our centralized course development team.  Liaises with the central team to scope, design and develop program enhancements, leveraging relationships and manages end to end design and implementation of work.
  • Partners with the academic leadership of Ross University to research, ideate and project manage the RUSM Curriculum redesign work.  This critical project is underway and has a multiyear planned implementation.  Additionally, this leader will partner closely with other internal teams to enhance the learning environment, faculty development and course development throughout RUSM to improve NPS, persistence, engagement and outcomes.
  • This resource will be leveraged by other institutional leaders on a project basis (Vet, AUC and HR) to improve processes, student and colleague experience, and course development across the vertical.
  • From a technical perspective, this leader with manage the technological development and production of e-learning curriculum, simulations and tools for online programs and apply implementation of sound learning design and pedagogical practices for the development of resources.  This role will be focused on digital enhancement or our curriculum and academic materials.  The goal of all initiatives is to improve the learning opportunities and flexibility for students.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in education or related field required 
  • 15+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated leadership in online curriculum research, development, implementation and program evaluation required
  • Deeply experienced in working with curriculum processes, instructional design and learning management systems.
  • Highly collaborative and consultative.  Able to engage leaders up, down and sideways across multiple institutions.  Possessives exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and influence skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading large-scale projects from ideation to completion with proven initial and ongoing results.
  • Is trained in Design Thinking and Change Management Methodologies to lead organization change.
  • Is technically savvy and leverages project tools like TEAMs, Excel, Canvas and Curriculum Development Software.
  • Is a strategic “doer”.  Able to assist in ideation and implementation.  Can face off to senior leaders and move teams (especially academic) to action and pace.
  • Models our TEACH values and is engaged, enthusiastic supporter of Adtalem and each institution.  Creates optimism, involvement and excitement in continuous improvement.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100171.61 and $181034.70. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
