As a contract recruiter for Adtalem, you will be responsible for identifying great talent and helping them envision their professional future with our organization. Combining consultative, influencing and advocacy skills, you will build and execute on targeted sourcing plans and recruit key talent for critical openings across a growing footprint.
We are looking for a Contact Recruiter to join our team for a 6-month contract opportunity. This position will have a strong emphasis on hiring student facing and academic-related positions for Chamberlain University at locations across the country. We are looking for someone with 5+ years full cycle recruiting experience.
We are a high performing team that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to our Chicago office and given the flexibility to work remotely. We are looking for someone to be on-site 3 days a week.
In this contract position you will:
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to develop hiring objectives and strategies to meet business needs with an emphasis on hiring for faculty and academic positions.
- Prepare posting, secures approval, and open requisitions to initiate the recruiting process.
- Conduct Intake Meetings with hiring teams to discuss candidate profile, specific goals, timelines, and service level agreements to be met during the recruitment process.
- Review resumes to establish a candidate pool that aligns best with the requirements, credentials, skills, and abilities as established by the hiring team.
- Conducts thorough, probing behavioral interviews with candidates to assess fit as established by hiring team, assessing subject matter expertise, relevant experience, prior performance, organizational fit, skills, knowledge, and ability.
- Use talent market expertise, data, and business acumen to educate and influence hiring managers, maintaining close contact with managers to provide regular status updates.
- Source and recruits top tier talent to meet immediate needs and proactively builds a candidate pipeline through networking and sourcing for future growth demands.
- Follow through with each applicant to ensure regular status updates and disposition information.
- Ensure that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained in the Applicant Tracking System by updating each change in candidate status in real-time as they move forward or are removed from process.
- Extend offers of employment, initiate the hiring process, and support the candidate & hiring team until the first day of employment when the onboarding process and background check are complete.
- Available to attend in person meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or other related discipline
- At least 5 years of corporate or in-house recruiting experience preferred
- Strong sourcing and networking skills to generate and expand a candidate pipeline aligned with current and projected objectives.
- Full life cycle recruiting experience with effective organization, planning, process, time management, and multitasking skills to meet hiring needs.
- Attention to detail, effective time-management skills, agility and the capacity to consistently complete administrative steps associated with the hiring process with accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
- Proficiency in using various applicant tracking systems (iCIMS), social media, recruitment tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other productivity and recruiting tools
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $30.00 and $40.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
