Job Description

REMOTE: US or Canada

Opportunity at a Glance

Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions-International, the Assistant Director of Admissions-International will primarily provide leadership for recruitment activities in non-US territories. This position is responsible for recruiting, raising brand awareness, and developing and nurturing relationships with pre-medical student influencers. This position will assist in the execution of the business plan, the control of expenses, and other functions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Highly knowledgeable about the AUC mission, history, curriculum, academic policies, outcomes, campuses and faculty.
  • Works closely with the Director of Admissions--International, identifies gaps in the prospective student and applicant plan and collaborates with Marketing and Communications to fill these gaps.
  • Ensures all data contained in the CRM (Salesforce) is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Networks, builds and develops professional relationships with influencer audiences, such as (but not limited to) pre-medical advisors, AUC alumni and AUC current students to elevate the brand and increase consideration through presentations and stakeholder visits.
  • Accompanies pre-med advisors on visits to campus as assigned.
  • International travel required for recruiting activities;  up to 75% travel during peak recruiting seasons (Sept - Dec, Feb - May)
  • Conducts dynamic presentations to explain academic opportunities
  • Attends key conferences and events for the purpose of establishing inquiry generation contacts and to present AUC’s MD program.
  • Plans and executes appropriate number and mix of recruitment activities in territory
  • In conjunction with management, ensures that objectives, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions are consistent with the overall plan for the admissions office.
  • Applies TEACH Values in the completion of all job assignments.
  • Adheres to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities as well as the Adtalem Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Maintains full knowledge of AUC’s MD program so as to be able to effectively communicate the benefits of AUC to others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 4+ years years of customer-service, admissions, or sales experience Preferred and
  • Experience with customer service and or recruitment experience in non-US markets Preferred
  • Strong work ethic, high energy, and a committed team player with excellent leadership capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, strategic, logical and methodical thinker.
  • Must be able to inspire loyalty and trust and must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Must have the ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is always best for the students as well as AUC.
  • Experience working remotely from home-based office preferred
  • Must reside within reasonable distance to major international airport
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally
  • Ability to work flexible hours across multiple time zones is required

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between USD$51962.03 and $93918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
