What are the best interview tips for roles at Adtalem?

Interviewing can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. With a little preparation and the right mindset, you can show up with confidence and let your experience and personality shine through.

Here are a few tips straight from our Talent Acquisition team to help you make a strong impression, whether your interview is virtual or in person:

Be Yourself

We value authenticity. 

We’re looking to learn about your skills, of course, but we also want to get to know you. Bring your full self, be honest, and let your passion and curiosity come through.

Do Your Research

Before your interview, take some time to explore our main website and our Careers site too. Understanding who we are, what we do, and the communities we serve shows us you’re engaged and ready to contribute.

For Virtual Interviews

• Test your tech ahead of time—audio, video, Wi-Fi.
• Choose a quiet, well-lit space where you won’t be interrupted.
• Dress professionally, just as you would for an in-person interview.
• Log in a few minutes early so you’re calm and ready to begin.

For In-Person Interviews

• Give yourself extra time to arrive early and relaxed.
• Bring a copy of your resume, a notebook, and any questions you have.
• Dress in a way that is professional, comfortable, and reflects the role.
• Show curiosity and genuine interest in our mission.

A Few More Helpful Tips

• Be prepared with examples of your work using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
• Ask questions, we love engaged conversations and hearing what matters most to you.
• Follow up with a thank-you note. A simple message goes a long way.
