Opportunity at a Glance
The VP of Product & Content Development creates and structures the dazzling, award-winning, interactive learning content that improves student outcomes, enriches the educational/classroom experience, and promotes superior workforce readiness. 

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of learning architects, instructional designers, content creators, and media producers to create superior learning content and experiences for students
  • Design and develop learning solutions for online, in-person, hybrid, and self-paced learning environments for multiple organizations on a global scale
  • Devises and executes an enterprise-wide framework for managing content/media lifecycles, keeping content current and market relevant
  • Blends together best-of components, both internal and third-party into classrooms to promote a market-leading learning experience
  • Partners with the portfolio/offering strategy team to prioritize product development roadmaps and features for the team to build
  • Creates efficiencies and scale in building and maintaining content that can be leveraged across multiple learning experiences and organizations
  • Spearheads and builds excitement for innovations in the learning experience, including areas like VR/AR, use of AI technologies in tutoring and grading, and new modalities for delivering just-in-time learning
  • Drives mutual consensus on measuring quality and success with academic partners, and benchmarks metrics to continuously improve performance
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • advance degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience structuring, creating, and deploying interactive learning content, courses, and solutions required. 
  • 10 years of leading instructional design, media/content development teams that deliver for multiple brands/organizations required. 
  • 10 years of delivering learning through learning management systems (LMS), online training platforms, hybrid methodologies (classroom and online) required.
  • Large scale content management system implementation experience preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale learning solutions and experiences across multiple organizations rooted in strong instructional design principles required.
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team that creates, maintains, and structures content and media for optimal delivery to customers/students required.
  • Familiarity with implementing, maintaining, and migrating Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, and academic technology solutions.
  • Perceptive reader of people and the tea leaves, building relationships stakeholdering and driving effective change leadership to make things happen and taking a proactive approach to keeping priorities on-track.
  • Track record of partnering with academic and product management leaders to foster consensus, reinforce academic/institutional outcomes, and deliver the best solution to customers/students.
  • Executive poise and ability to broker agreement in a matrixed environment.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $159,328.72 and $288,104.20. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
