Job Description

Ross University School of Medicine is building a talent pipeline for future faculty opportunities within the Department of Medical Foundations. We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified educators with expertise in Pharmacology, particularly those who are open to cross-disciplinary teaching.

This is not an active vacancy but a proactive effort to identify and engage with talented individuals who may be a strong fit for upcoming roles.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passionate educators with a strong foundation in Pharmacology.
  • Individuals who are open to teaching across multiple disciplines within the Medical Foundations curriculum.
  • Candidates who are enthusiastic about medical education, student engagement, and curriculum innovation.

Key Responsibilities (for future roles):

  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate active learning using modern educational tools.
  • Develop course materials, including digital content and assessments.
  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in faculty development and institutional service.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Terminal degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in Pharmacology or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience teaching Pharmacology to medical students.
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence and a collaborative mindset.
  • Interest in educational innovation and interdisciplinary teaching.
  • Willingness to relocate to Barbados when a position becomes available.
