Opportunity at a Glance
The Student Success Coach, Prelicensure Academic Quality will support and drive student success through the NCLEX Strategy #3 by providing national rapid response support to improve student outcomes for locations with identified support needs based on set criteria. This collaborative approach is supported by being an active member of the Team of Teams to identify support needs for aligned locations.

Responsibilities

  • In support of expanding Chamberlain’s access agenda, work to improve programs and carry out initiatives that encourage student engagement with orientation programs, academic success resources and student development opportunities. Facilitate collaboration with all stakeholders to develop and implement programmatic and individual interventions to support the academic success and retention of at-risk students.
  • Coordinate regular communications, meetings, and status updates to promote programs concerned with the holistic development of each student, from enrollment to graduation including transition to college, orientation, academic achievement, co-curricular experiences, campus and community engagement, and wellness. Help students overcome challenges and grow.
  • Fosters student engagement with programs that cultivate a sense of belonging such as peer tutoring, mentoring programs, learning communities, student organizations and other    co-curricular programs and activities.   Monitors engagement levels and evaluates programs for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a data base of local, state and national resources that can be leveraged for student support. Works across functional lines to ensure that students are connected to University and community resources including mental health wellness services, financial support and scholarships, tutoring, student organizations and support groups, and career services.
  • Integrate academic success best practices and effective coaching techniques to provide proactive student conversations that acknowledge the unique needs of Chamberlain students. Utilize a variety of technologies and communication channels to effectively support students from orientation to graduation. Facilitate group communication to assigned student populations, respond to individual questions in a timely manner, and promote meaningful student engagement with their peers and the campus and national support teams.
  • Facilitate the effectiveness of campus retention committee meetings, by gathering relevant data from institutional and internal reports to identify at-risk student populations and risk factors, and monitor student progress. Collaborate with student support advisors, student learning specialists, and other campus and national partners to ensure students are provided proactive support. In this role, the student success coach will update processes and facilitate a positive student experience.
  • Works in coordination with the National Conduct Officer, providing direct support to student when appropriate, to advise on the University Judicial process. Provides information regarding resolution to students and other university staff involved in handling the student's issue to ensure closing the loop.
  • This position is a designated Campus Security Authority.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, student services administration, career counseling education/professional development in education or a similar field. (Required)
  • 5 years in student advising or counseling in higher education setting and experience with online learning or working with online learners. (Required)
  • Experience working with Nursing students or Health- related field. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience working with learners who are facing a variety of life challenges
  • Ability to effectively work in across functions in a matrix organization.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $41419.01 and $75065.24. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
