Opportunity at a Glance

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Training Specialist with extensive experience in training teams on advanced prospect engagement techniques to drive revenue and create value. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various prospecting models, including consultative approaches, and demonstrate expertise in pipeline management. This role is crucial in developing and delivering impactful training programs that equip enrollment staff with the skills needed to effectively manage pipelines, leverage data-driven insights, and enhance product knowledge. 
 
As a Senior Training Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and design targeted learning solutions that improve prospect engagement and conversion rates. Your role will involve creating and facilitating dynamic training sessions, evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives, and continuously refining content to align with business goals. Your contributions will play a key role in empowering staff to optimize their engagement strategies, thereby supporting the organization’s growth and value creation. 


Responsibilities

Data-Driven Training: 

  • Analyze enrollment team performance data and call recordings to identify skill gaps and training needs. 
  • Develop and refine training programs based on these insights, ensuring alignment with white-glove service standards. 
  • Measure the impact of training initiatives on key enrollment metrics and adjust facilitation methods accordingly. 

Training Delivery & Facilitation: 

  • Deliver training using a variety of instructional techniques and formats (e.g., workshops, role-playing, simulations) to engage different learning styles and ensure effective knowledge transfer. 
  • Train enrollment teams on the critical importance of accurate and detailed notetaking within CRM systems to improve data quality and enhance pipeline visibility. 
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of pipeline management to teach teams how to leverage data to track and manage student progress, optimizing each stage for better outcomes. 
  • Provide product knowledge training that empowers staff to communicate value propositions effectively, enhancing their ability to guide prospective students. 
  • Focus training strategy on nuanced relationship building and consultative approaches. 

Enrollment-Focused Curriculum Development: 

  • Design engaging, high-impact training materials that focus on consultative enrollment strategies and relationship-building techniques. 
  • Working with the T&D team, review and inform on content that supports the development of key skills like effective communication, needs assessment, and guiding prospective students through the decision-making process. 
  • Develop comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires and continuous learning opportunities for experienced staff, ensuring a consistent and scalable approach to training. 

Collaboration and Partnership: 

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance & Insights team to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training solutions. 
  • Partner with enrollment leadership and subject matter experts to ensure training content aligns with best practices and organizational goals. 
  • Collaborate with IT and system owners to coordinate training requirements and ensure content reflects system updates and upgrades. 

Continuous Improvement and Innovation: 

  • Stay updated on the latest enrollment strategies, pipeline management techniques, and training methodologies through continuous professional development. 
  • Incorporate new insights and trends into training programs, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. 
  • Participate in new system implementation support centers, providing training guidance and expertise. 
  • The Sr. Training Specialist will evaluate call interactions to provide personalized coaching and facilitate targeted training sessions that address identified challenges, ultimately improving prospect engagement and pipeline management while monitoring trainee progress and supporting continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or related experience
  • 4 years of presentation experience in both a soft skills and hard skills capacity, 6 months curriculum development, technical/system document writing and/or development. 
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, customer service, and communication skills; with the ability to present complex information clearly and engage diverse audiences. 
  • Advanced understanding of sales training models. 
  • Proven experience in training sales teams, with a focus on consultative sales models. 
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design; teaching and instruction for individuals and groups; and the measurement of training effects. 
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance specifically related to Adult Learning Theory. 
  • Knowledge of individual differences in ability, personality, and interests as well as learning and motivation. 
  • Strong understanding of CRM tools and the ability to teach the value of data accuracy and effective notetaking. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic training plans and adapt content to meet evolving business needs. 
  • Time management skills. 
  • Critical thinking skills- using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches and ability to effectively communicate those in written and/or oral form. 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,520.9 and $93,918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
