Job Description

Overview:

This position is responsible for developing and executing content and communications that align with messaging for Adtalem and its family of institutions in support of our strategic growth objectives. This person will foster engagement and build affinity among key stakeholders while capturing and conveying the unique student experience, the corporate identity, and our organization’s commitment to diversity, inclusivity and educational justice through internal communications and content creation. Reporting to the senior manager of internal communications, this position will ensure the quality of communications with internal stakeholders through storytelling opportunities that enhance Adtalem’s corporate narrative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Supports internal communications that reinforce Adtalem’s image and reputation with colleagues, students, alumni and other stakeholders

- Writes/creates content to support internal stakeholders and teams, including but not limited to emails, town halls, presentations, newsletters and other publications

- Provides communications counsel for institution-led employee and student communications to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with defined business objectives

- Maintains quality standards for all publications and communications

- Identifies and develops opportunities for content generation from an Adtalem-wide perspective while leveraging both organizational and institutional story leads that support our corporate narrative

- Completes other duties as assigned


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate/internal communications, public relations, marketing, strategic planning, branding or related field

- Well-developed writing, editing, journalistic and project management skills

- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and communications platforms

- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization

- Strong organizational, logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality


Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59923.09 and $108334.92. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
