Job Description

**THIS ROLE IS HYBRID IN OUR COLUMBIA, MD OFFICE**

Opportunity at a Glance


The Senior Data Analyst provides financial analysis on bad debt drivers, cash forecasting, collection strategies, and other forecasting models based on business needs. Financial Analysis services will include developing business plans for new and existing business opportunities related to student debt and providing financial analyses for senior management decision support and corporate strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Works with all facets of Accounts Receivable to identify opportunities and provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategies for improved collection performance.
  • Drives the investigation and development of new business opportunities including collections analysis, business plans, student behavior traits and financial opportunities.
  • Performs ad hoc financial modeling projects to support existing and new business opportunities.
  • Develops detailed financial models of existing and new divisions.
  • Develops and drives application of key performance measures to enhance performance improvement.
  • Provides on-going support and training of new reports and tools to support student collection initiatives, student information systems to various users.
  • Provides on-going maintenance of accounting system and financial reports.
  • Manages financial system upgrades, implementation and conversion initiatives.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 5 years progressive experience with financial analysis and corporate finance required.
  • Thorough understanding of financial reports and financial modeling required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with developing complex financial models.
  • Demonstrated project management, marketing research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize information, manage tasks, and analyze data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with developing and presenting complex topics to senior management.
  • Knowledge of the Great Plains accounting system, FRX reporting tool, and MS SQL.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59,923 and $108,334. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
