Job Description

Accountable for setting direction and strategic leadership in a distributed business unit model within a defined region. This role requires high level accountability for the operational units' performance across the region specific to core KPIs – strong academic outcomes, compliance & regulatory measures, persistence and graduation rate, financial performance, and colleague/student satisfaction.
 

  • Creates highly accountable plans with business unit leaders to invigorate the campus environments and set standards for high performing ecosystems.
  • Drives accountable actions with functional units across the organization to assess and prioritize actions that drive high performance in core KPIs across business unit locations including but not limited to academic performance, persistence/graduation rates, financial performance, student/colleague satisfaction and support of the University/enterprise strategic planning.
  • Hires and onboards highly accountable local leadership that ensure that the business units perform at the highest level.
  • Drive financial performance through monitoring expenses, tightly managing labor expenses, ensuring plans are fully executed to manage variances, and driving interventions to support total enrollment management.
  • Collaborate with growth operations and appropriate enterprise functional units to plan, develop and direct the set-up, implementation and operation of new locations/relocations.
  • Create quality management initiatives to drive compliance with University standard procedures and policies. Ensure regular cadence of evaluation and updates across locations over and above standard internal audit procedures (applicable to all locations at all stages of campus life cycle).
  • Design strategies in collaboration with growth operations, real estate, and enrollment functions to maximize existing and new campus locations through enrollment growth, new program execution, and/or other compliant options.
  • Ensure that all campuses operate at the highest level of compliance/regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate across the University and with Adtalem to support strategic priorities.
  • Drive collaboration of campus and enterprise units to create actionable support of key academic/operational initiatives.
  • This position is a designated Campus Security Authority.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required, Doctoral Degree preferred.
  • Ten (10)+ years of business experience required.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience in a leadership role in the education or healthcare industry required.
  • Two (2)+ years of solid multi-site operational management of similar distributed business units required.
  • Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
  • Ability to create highly actionable project plans and executive presentations
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and internet applications

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $164,109.00 and $296,747.25. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
