Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
Under minimal direction, the Recruiter is responsible for driving the end-to-end recruitment process within all areas of the organization. This includes sourcing and advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, conducting phone/video interviews, and partnering with hiring managers to identify top talent. The Recruiter manages candidate evaluations, facilitates the interview process including debrief conversations and the collection of feedback, conducts reference and background checks, and ensures a smooth onboarding experience. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with leadership to assess staffing needs, providing guidance on best practices, and contributing to the optimization of recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Works with hiring managers to develop hiring objectives and strategies to meet business needs.
  • Prepares requisitions and obtains the necessary approvals in order to begin recruiting for various positions.
  • Recruits and hires for roles ranging from entry-level to management positions ensuring a strong alignment between candidates' skills and the job requirements to promote long-term success and retention at Adtalem Global Education and our segments.
  • Participates in recruitment projects and recommends changes to the process to increase attraction and attention of applicants.
  • May collaborate with external agencies to support the recruitment process.
  • Posts positions to job boards including niche sites and the internal career site, ensuring all job postings are accurate, free of errors, and written in an inclusive, bias-free manner to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Reviews resumes to determine which applicants have the proper qualifications for the job.
  • Follows through on all resumes and applications received to ensure that proper correspondence is sent to applicants; maintains accurate notes and updates in the ATS system.
  • Conducts interviews to screen and qualify candidates identifying strong matches while fostering interest in Adtalem Global Education as an employer of choice.
  • Ensures the completion of thorough reference checks and background checks as required for each job candidate.
  • Notifies candidates who are no longer being considered for the position, expressing appreciation for their interest in Adtalem Global Education and providing a courteous update on their application status.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date notes in the ATS system and ensures all phases of the process are in compliance.
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates, including negotiating salary and compensation packages, discussing company benefits, and ensuring alignment with both candidate expectations and organizational guidelines
  • Assists in compiling reports, makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, and tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods.
  • Participates in committees and meetings as assigned.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or other related discipline is required 
  • 4+ years of combination corporate and agency recruiting experience is required
  • Must have a working knowledge of recruiting policies and practices
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate job opportunities effectively, listen actively, and convey information clearly to both candidates and hiring managers
  • Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple tasks, prioritize recruitment activities, and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and team members to foster trust and collaboration
  • Technology Proficiency: Competence in using job boards, social media, and recruitment tools for sourcing and engaging candidates
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address recruitment challenges, such as sourcing candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong, professional relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues
  • Decision-Making: Make sound, timely decisions regarding candidate selection based on established criteria
  • Job Market Trends: Awareness of current hiring trends and candidate expectations.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,721.00 and $111,584.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
