The typical course of instruction may include:

NR621 - Nurse Educator Concluding Graduate Experience I

In this course, the student has an intensive experience in critical analysis, designed to broaden perspectives and support the integration of knowledge gained throughout the curriculum. In collaboration with a nurse educator mentor, the student applies teaching-and-learning theories and concepts in the implementation of the nurse-educator role in an academic or clinical practice setting and develops and implements evidence-based teaching strategies. The student begins a scholarly project involving critical analysis of an issue relevant to nursing education.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
• Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
• Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
• Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all

You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements:

• MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
• A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience is required at the graduate, post-licensure level
• Professional Development experience preferred
• Graduate teaching experience required
• An active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license (Required)
• Special consideration to those who also have RN license in CA and NY
• Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense)
• Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
• Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
