Chamberlain College is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our MSN program. We build long-term relationships with superior nurse educators who are experts in their field and committed to providing the finest in practitioner-focused education.

The typical course of instruction may include:
NR- 541 Practice of Nursing Informatics
This course introduces the student to the role, functions, and scope and standards of practice of the informatics nurse. Students will explore, analyze, apply, and evaluate diverse aspects of nursing-informatics practice as a specialization.
NR- 542 Managing Data and Information
In this course, the student examines the use of information technology to create, analyze and exploit data sets in order to monitor and evaluate patient care. The student incorporates the data-information-knowledge wisdom model in the development of databases and other techniques for managing data and information.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
- Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
- Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
- Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all
- MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
- A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience is required at the graduate, post-licensure level
- Professional Development experience preferred
- An active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license (Required)
- Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense prior to teaching)
- Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
