Chamberlain College is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our MSN program. We build long-term relationships with superior nurse educators who are experts in their field and committed to providing the finest in practitioner-focused education.

The typical course of instruction may include:
NR516 - Basic Research & Evidence-based Practice
This course explores concepts related to basic research and its application to nursing practice. Learning focuses on appraisal of research and use of best evidence to inform care. The integration of evidence-based practice, as well as legal, ethical, and cultural issues in nursing research are emphasized within this course.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
- Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
- Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
- Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all
Qualifications
You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements:
- MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
- A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience is preferred; preferably at the graduate level
- Must have an active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license
- Special consideration to those who also have RN license in CA, RI and PA
- Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense)
- Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
Additional Information
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $825-$1,950 per credit hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
