Opportunity at a Glance
This role will provide leadership, direction and coordination for a team of Business Systems Analysts, providing support and development of systems including Banner Financial Aid & Student Accounts, ProSam, Salesforce and In Contact. This colleague will provide hands-on systems leadership to ensure the delivery of business systems enhancements and process improvements, to support the operations for the Adtalem institutions and companies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and developing departmental management staff as they direct daily operations of the business systems analysts.
  • Responsible for ensuring key business systems align with current business process and organizational need.
  • Serves as primary liaison within Shared Operations Center of Excellence, IT and institutions in regards to key functional system enhancements and system configuration.
  • Design, develop and implement processes for backup, recovery and cloning of databases - including Disaster Recovery initiatives.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize system performance using tuning, optimization, AWR, ASH, and other methods.
  • Complete scripting and/or automation of common, repeatable tasks across the spectrum of supported products and technologies.
  • Leads the planning of service requests, implementation steps, corrective actions, upgrade recommendations and optimization steps for ProSam and Banner technologies and products.
  • Provides leadership to promote and maintain integrity and accuracy of the various reporting from functional systems.
  • Submits monthly/quarterly reports to VP, SOCOE on functional system enhancements.
  • Coordinates development of training material for any new/changed business process flows within key systems.
  • Establishes service standards and metrics to measure service delivery and ensures that staff knows and understand their responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
  • Work with business partners and Information Technology personnel to identify business requirements
  • and system development specifications for business changes and enhancement requests.
  • Research reported issues with the financial aid management application and processes and translate into enhancement as needed.
  • Travels as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5 years leadership experience overseeing multiple functions. 
  • Experience with Banner Financial Aid & Student Accounts, SalesForce, ProSam and/or other Financial Aid Management systems.
  • Experience managing large projects, creating and defining complex operational processes and procedures.
  • Candidates must possess hands-on and versatile leadership qualities and the ability to manage change in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to manage, motivate and develop staff is required.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication, inter-personal skills and demonstrate the ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups of constituents, including students, faculty, management, system developers, and other staff.
  • Candidates must have strong analytical project management and organizational skills around business process improvements, change management and systems improvements.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to express technical information to a broad group of people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop staff in various environments.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
