Job Description

American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) is seeking a dynamic marketing professional that can help lead the 40+ year institution into new and exciting channels. The ideal candidate will be adept at showcasing AUC to aspiring MDs through innovative marketing platforms, strategies, and messages.

The Marketing Manager - AUC position is responsible for creating marketing plans and implements long and short-term marketing strategies to meet objectives. This includes development and execution of marketing plans that competitively position the institution by establishing and maintaining a consistent tone across marketing communications, branding initiatives, targeted marketing activities, and vendor selections.

  • Partners closely with marketing leads, operations, and admissions to support enrollment goals through various marketing campaign support. 
  • Influence and help deployment of specific campaigns (i.e. email, paid media).
  • Supports webinar creation and event promotion with lift.
  • Partner with COE to deploy email and SMS strategy. 
  • Manages media and advertising plans and adjusts according to effectiveness and budgets.
  • Measures, analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Maintains website updates.
  • Collaborates with community managers to ensure marketing content is up to date on the Student Application Portal (a.k.a. Student Journey App).
  • Pulls or prepares reports for marketing leads.
  • Prepares event presentation decks, support script development/management. 
  • Partners with organic social media team on content creation based on content calendar.
  • Coordinates with campus and students for User-Generated Content (photo/videos); main point of contact in marketing for Student Ambassadors (secure persona waivers/releases). 
  • Supports the marketing promotion of recruitment team activities and events.
  • Reviews campus marketing requests to determine need, priority, and completeness of information.
  • Flexes as needed; supports ad hoc/special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, Masters a plus
  • Minimum of 6-8 years marketing experience required; as well as managing staff.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet and web applications.
  • ROI measurement, metrics development to assess ROI.
  • Strong management/supervisory background, professional presentation skills, demonstrated leadership abilities in order to implement planned campaign rollouts. 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills are essential, as position involves extensive contact with co-management and internal/external customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and financial principles.
  • Extensive web site management/creative experience.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10% - 15%).

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68,637 and $124,230. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
