Opportunity at a Glance
The Curriculum Technology Manager is responsible for technology solutions used to deliver the curriculum to students and faculty using both campus-based and online teaching methods. This position partners with colleagues to research new instructional technologies, assess their effectiveness, recommend products for adoption, and facilitate the implementation of selected technologies. The Curriculum Technology Manager works collaboratively with other teams in the planning, development, and production of curriculum materials, processes and best practices that are evaluated and acknowledged to be highly effective in improving student outcomes. Additionally, this position is responsible for the management of select processes used by various teams, faculty, and students. The purpose of the CTM team is to continuously improve student outcomes through the seamless integration of Chamberlain faculty experience and expertise with excellent curriculum design and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the selection, implementation, maintenance, and on-going evaluation of new instructional technology to deliver the curriculum.
- Manages a document repository for online courses including course maps, syllabi, templates for learning platform and specific course materials. Maintains repository with user-friendly file nomenclature and insures that shared documents are consistently updated.
- Manages quality of courses through maintenance, major corrections and repairs.
- Involve appropriate teams and colleagues in selecting or designing and evaluating instructional materials to meet student learning needs.
- Coordinate processes to assure faculty involvement in selecting, designing, and evaluating instructional materials.
- Monitor professional research and disseminate new ideas, information and best practices to others.
- Ensure the use of appropriate technology in the teaching-learning process by evaluating and selecting technology to help students meet learning needs.
- Obtain and use evaluative findings (including student achievement data) to examine effectiveness of technologies used to deliver the curriculum.
- Conduct research and consult with leadership and instructional design representatives in the selection and use of instructional technology.
- Collaborate with appropriate teams and colleagues in the review/assessment of current curriculum to ensure that technologies in use are supporting student achievement of course outcomes.
- Use evaluation data to make recommendations for technology based course and/or curriculum improvement on an annual basis.
- Work with various teams to assist faculty in implementing new instructional technology.
- Actively pursue opportunities to continue to learn best practices in curriculum development and implementation through research, professional development, and other learning opportunities.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

- Complies with all policies and standards
- Master's Degree in an appropriate field from a regionally accredited institution. Required
- 5 years teaching experience, including a minimum of two years online. Required
- 3 years of experience working successfully with technology in academia. Required
- Online course development and maintenance experience Preferred
- Experience and certifications with one or more of the following preferred:
- Learning Management systems
- Electronic Assessment applications
- Multimedia and audio-visual technologies
- Project Lifecycle methodology Preferred
- Knowledge of current techniques and procedures used in the design, development, and delivery of curriculum and instruction.
- Excellent computer (Microsoft office) and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to:
- communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to develop, present, and promote projects; work independently; prioritize work and meet deadlines;
- evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness;
- implement policy and procedures;
- interpret data and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements; and
- provide leadership to facilitate the planning, development, and establishment of new, modified and/or improved programs that leverage instructional technology.
- Demonstration of application of active learning strategies through use of instructional technology in prior teaching experiences.
- Ability to work effectively and productively in a remote location.
- Demonstrated success in both campus and online teaching, and should possess high-level of training skills, communications, and organizational skills.
- Team player with positive attitude, energy, dedication to collaboration and consistently model the TEACH values is required.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68637.22 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
