  • HYBRID – If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.
  • REMOTE – If you live over 50 miles from Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL, this role is remote. However, occasional office visits may be required based on business needs, with advance communication for such requests.

The Manager, Alumni Social Media & Content Strategy is responsible for the development, cultivation and amplification of Adtalem’s reputation across our institutions on our owned alumni social media channels. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Social Media & Content Strategy, this person will drive our brand voice and narrative through social and digital media and grow our share of voice through increased brand awareness and engagement.

This position will be charged with thinking outside the box to directly engage an international network of more than 300k alumni, building community and affinity and telling alumni stories through the development of engaging and powerful content. This individual will also be a key contributor to Adtalem’s overall content strategy and responsible for increasing brand awareness and driving follower acquisition and reach that directly supports the company’s overarching business goals and strategies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the evaluation and development of Adtalem alumni social media presence, including appropriate platforms and cadence for posting, creating content that amplifies Adtalem’s brand, messaging and increasing the number of followers.
  • Identify, develop, and implement engaging digital content that maximizes reach, resonance, and results of campaigns that deliver branding, acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
  • Create and optimize strategic content that highlights Adtalem’s key messaging pillars and reinforces institutional expertise and proof points that supports the company’s overarching business goals, and strategies and drives brand awareness.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with the alumni engagement team to craft and execute content.
  • Create and manage an alumni ambassador committee for content, engagement, and storytelling needs.
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Contribute to blog/newsroom platforms, as needed.
  • Strategize, recommend, and implement new tactics and channels to increase brand awareness and alumni engagement.
  • Assist in the ongoing evolution of Adtalem content, including generation of new ideas and supporting communications measurement/KPIs.
  • Analyze KPI/metric reports on communications initiatives and offer recommendations to optimize future efforts.
  • Thoughtfully and appropriately represent diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging on owned social media channels.
  • Lead the creation of social media communications that foster dialogue, engagement, and institutional pride.
  • Contribute to other key team projects, as required.
     

 


Qualifications

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively work with people at all levels, including executives
- PC, mobile and web/online savvy-including full suite of Microsoft offerings
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize a varied workload in a fast-paced and demanding environment with several competing priorities
- Willing to learn new skills, expand knowledge, and adapt to technological and business needs
- A professional demeanor

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68637.22 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
