Reporting to the Manager, the Lead will plan, lead, and execute initiatives within a Learning and Development function that supports over 450 stakeholders within the Enrollment and Student Success teams. The Lead will be significantly connected to the university's transformation workstream, consulting with leaders across different university functions to ensure development needs are identified and executed timely. The Lead will leverage coaching and performance development experience to support the continued development of colleagues at different levels in the organization. The Lead will also plan and lead colleague onboarding programs, and other trainings as needed. The Lead possesses a strong, consultation skillset to effectively partner with stakeholders across the business, delivering on the needs to support major initiative launches. The Lead also functions as a role model, demonstrating a culture of care consistent with our mission, vision, and purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, leads, and executes learning and development initiatives in a consulting and end-to-end capacity.
  • Lead cross-functional leadership development initiatives, providing consultation and recommendations to senior-level leaders on curriculum, coordination, and execution (in both virtual and on-site training environments).
  • Strategize, recommend, and execute learning solutions and resources to support the continued development of our Enrollment and Student Success leadership teams.
  • Leverage skills and experience in coaching and performance development to support the continued development of colleagues at different levels in the organization.
  • Lead performance optimization and talent enablement programming within transformation workstreams across university functions.
  • Serve as a training partner on product, technology, and recruitment initiatives and by request. Includes evaluating requests, recommending and developing a scope of work, and executing the design, development, and delivery of the instruction or resource.
  • Plan and lead colleague onboarding programs, and other trainings as needed.
  • Establish and manage a program evaluation process, recommending time and planning for L&D curriculum updates to ensure delivery of up-to-date and relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Support the evolution of the L&D tech stack, actively looking for and developing solutions in coaching and AI tools, conversational analytics, and other technologies.
  • Actively track and report on metrics tied to the impact and KPIs of the L&D strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the university and organization.
  • Demonstrate continuous development in the field of training and development by staying abreast of learning and development enhancements and trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience within a corporate Learning and Development function required.
  • 2+ years of professional experience within a sales enablement or high-volume customer service environment required.
  • Higher Education experience preferred.
  • Proficient in recommending and executing learning solutions and resources to leadership teams, including serving as an internal expert and liaison with external consulting agencies.
  • Strong project leader with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, engaging with appropriate functions within the L&D team to plan and execute on time with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in conducting effective needs assessments, identifying gaps, and making recommendations that will make an impact on colleague learning and performance.
  • Able to leverage skills and experience in coaching and performance development to support the continued development of colleagues in a coaching enablement framework and environment.
  • Proven working experience with assessment and evaluation systems that provide insights into colleague growth and development and make recommendations for continued resources and L&D offerings.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and facilitating effective, impactful training (both virtual and in-person) for large and small groups.
  • Shown appreciation for and applying new tools and technologies/resources within the L&D ecosystem; seeks out new ways of finding solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, with strong business acumen and comfortability engaging with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and adapt instruction within a remote work environment, including facilitation of training using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other platforms.
  • Effectively navigate within a highly regulated environment.
  • Adaptable to continued changes and shifts in business priorities and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at any given time.
  • Ability to self-manage time and priorities in a hybrid work environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint, etc.).

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,720 and $108,334. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
