The typical course of instruction may include:
NR562 - Leadership & Management Within Complex Healthcare Systems
This course focuses on advanced processes and skills needed to support safe, high-quality nursing care through leadership and management at the organizational and systems level. A major focus is connecting, challenging and embracing change improvement within complex healthcare settings. The influence of systems level concepts on providing quality and safe person-centered nursing care are addressed. Principles related to healthcare problems and solution strategies within the environment of care are emphasized.
Responsibilities:
- Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education
- Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
- Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments
- Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all
Qualifications
You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements:
- MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required
- A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience is required; preferably at the graduate level
- An active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license Required
- Special consideration to those who also have RN license in CA, RI and PA
- Must also have Illinois RN nursing license (or willing to obtain at own expense)
- Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
- Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
Additional Information
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $825/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
