Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM), an Adtalem Global Education institution, prepares students to become veterinary leaders by drawing connections among animals, people and the planet, as a member of the One Health Initiative. • Providing support for the technology in the classroom which include(troubleshooting projector/TV connectivity issues with teachers/students’ computers)
• Assists teachers in developing curriculum materials and lesson plans that facilitate the implementation of technology in the classrooms.
• Conducts workshops and training sessions with school staff to increase knowledge of technology.
• Manage students and teacher’s online sites and resources
• Generate and Manage school report cards and system.
• Facilitates Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing and Managing MAP reports
• Assists in new teacher training and student orientations and MAP screenings
• Ensure safety and integrity of A/V Equipment at the end of the workday. This should include a survey of A/V service areas including the classrooms.
• Work under immediate supervision, primary focus is on resolving technical computer, network and software related issues at the prep school, escalating problems as necessary
• Edit, publish and back up multimedia publications on the internal and external servers;
• Work with admin to create systems that improve organization and productivity of school information
• Provide AV support for school related events and activities.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment, computers, software licenses, and others
• Assists with security infrastructure and maintenance at Prep school
• Participates as a technical resource needed in both large and small projects.
• Works closely across IT teams to ensure effective communication and project escalation.
• Responsible for the management and control of all RUSVM two-way radio, and to ensure that the proper licensing and maintenance are done in a timely manner.
• Support the sourcing of electronic equipment for the Safety & Security Department.
• Support the research, planning and launch of pilot projects to test technology on security projects
• Support the installation, configuration and on-going update of all security technology systems.
• Support for the monitoring and servicing of all video equipment and cameras under the supervision of the Safety & Security Department and ensure that they are performing effectively.
Minimum two years enterprise experience with Microsoft Windows Clients (Win10), MacOS in a Windows Server 2016, Active Directory environment.
Minimum two years of related experience in information systems or direct customer service experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience as determined by the Department of Information Technology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrative desktop, laptop, tablets and audiovisual technologies configuration, operation and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in educational setting preferred but not required. Ability to interface and communicate effectively with non-technical personnel, administrative users, staff, faculty and students, as well as professional Information Technology staff.
Good working knowledge with Hardware/Software installation in a network environment.
Entry level experience with networking, data, and voice systems.
Knowledge of printer troubleshooting and repair.
Experience supporting mobile devices (iPad, Android, Apple iOS).
Knowledge of the major client software packages (Latest MS Office Productivity Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, Anti-Virus, VPN, FTP, Adobe, ServiceNow etc.).
Strong customer service and excellent communication skills along with the ability to work well with others in a team environment
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines.
