Job Description

This role assists in executing the people management agenda for their assigned institution/business though the implementation of annual HR processes and driving organizational change. Working in close collaboration with the Senior Strategic HR leader, he/she will be a key contributor on both a strategic and operational level, serving as a partner to the business team.  He/she will collaborate with Home Office HR Centers of Excellence to execute on a wide range of HR initiatives and will bring innovation to current HR processes through the use of technology and process improvement. This role will lead major change initiatives, coordinating support from critical HR Shared Services or COEs.  The incumbent is results-oriented and a skilled and transparent communicator, collaborator, and team player.  Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential for success. 

  • Implements a variety of HR strategies that are practical, measurable, and tightly linked to the organizational goals. 
  • Serves as a partner to institutional HR/business leadership, identifying and executing a variety of organizational effectiveness and change interventions to maximize performance within the institution. 
  • Utilizes a variety of HR metrics to assess the state of the workforce and the effectiveness of management practices; collaborates with Senior HR leadership to develop recommendations to address emerging issues. 
  • Evaluates organization health and engagement survey results, consults with the management team and recommends strategies for addressing vulnerable populations.  
  • Partners with the HR Centers of Excellence (talent management, talent acquisition, colleague relations and total rewards) to execute major enterprise processes on behalf of the business. 
  • Drives the semi-annual performance management, talent planning and total rewards process.  Ensures performance evaluation results are calibrated, differentiated and reflective of the institution’s performance and that talent planning efforts drive a differentiated investment in colleague development. 
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to work with managers on development of job descriptions, talent assessment and selection and including the leveling of new roles. 
  • Partners with Total Rewards to provide compensation guidance to business leaders. 
  • Brings an innovative approach to current HR practices using data and analytics, AI tools,  technology and process improvement. 
  • Stays abreast of best practices and innovation in HR. 
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the institution’s leadership on HR-related matters. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Master's Degree Preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of broad-based HR experience required with exposure to multiple functional areas within HR. 
  • Experience with HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix organization.
  • Gets results; uses metrics effectively to evaluate people-related programs and drive improvement
  • Possesses the influencing skills required to build commitment and persuade others to take appropriate action.
  • Builds trust and effective working relationships easily across a broad range of people and organizations.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong facilitation and training skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop win/win solutions.
  • Demonstrated mastery of employment law through professional certification (such as SPHR) or experience/training on the job.
  • Has a track record of confronting difficult HR issues and developing specific action plans to address them.
  • Independently driven and results oriented. 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $120,000.00 and $160,000.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
