We are a high-performing team that meets in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered Hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to our Addison office and given the flexibility to work remotely. We are looking for someone to be On-site 3 days a week.
The position provides leadership to the Institutional Support Services (ISS), Business Intelligence (BI) team. The BI team operates to deliver clarity of data, expert analysis / consulting which results in effective processing and decision making across ISS. Leads team to operate effectively and in alignment to ISS and Adtalem priorities; ensuring compliance and regulatory targets are met. Initiates continuous improvement, change management and business process initiatives to deliver exceptional business results for all institutions, students, and stakeholders. The role requires strong skills in colleague / team leadership / development as well as collaboration and project management with internal ISS leaders, institutions and other department including, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, and Marketing. Leverages innovative analytics and technology solutions to deliver user friendly analysis and dashboards which support business process and strategic business decisions. Leads partnership with Adtalem Analytics / Data Engineering team to ensure ISS requests are prioritized and data is readily accessible for power users within BI as well as ISS verticals for strategic analysis and processing purposes. Drives performance within ISS and institutional partners within Adtalem to impact the student experience and support organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
- Leads BI team to innovate and functions to the team’s mission, including democratization of data across ISS, providing visual and self-service analytics tools that enables efficient, compliant processing and data-driven team management and strategic decision making across ISS.
- Partners with stakeholders to build improved analytics solutions, including self-serve dashboards rather than recurring ad hoc and repeat data requests.
- Coordination of meaningful KPIs/SLAs across all ISS teams.
- Develops BI talent with understanding of ISS business processes and solid analytical bench strength. This results in effective stakeholder collaboration, prioritization, and completion of analytics / analysis requests.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and alignment of functions to the proper team. Champions needed change.
- Leads analytics projects and stakeholder management with proactive communication and project management tools. Ensures organization, forward progress, and transparency across stakeholders with ongoing status updates.
- Manages multiple functions for multiple institutions ensuring seamless, student-centric data solutions leading to exceptional business performance results.
- Provides leadership to ensure quality and audit / compliance related to all ISS analytics.
- Designs analytics, technology, and business process solutions to deliver efficient and effective results for all business partners.
- Serves as an executive liaison, representing ISS with institutional partners by serving on various committees, task forces, project teams, etc. and maintaining a proactive, transparent relationship on service level agreements and continued improvement in service delivery.
- Collaborates with ISS leadership to determine prioritization, resource allocation, and timelines in support of ISS and Adtalem priorities.
- Leads, develops, and manages talent to maximize outcomes and establish career paths to retain top talent.
- Maintains a customer focused department; creates and reports on BI team service level agreements in alignment with ISS stakeholder needs.
- Manages process to ensures SOPs and documentation are in place for all BI analytics.
- Leads talent development through ongoing coaching / feedback, encouragement, and performance management, while embracing and modeling the organization's TEACH values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Bachelor's Degree, Required.
- Master's Degree, Preferred.
- 10 years Proven senior-level leadership experience required with demonstrated ability in colleague and team development.
- 8 years Proven higher education or comparable experience managing highly regulated functional areas preferred.
- Expertise with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, etc…), advanced Excel functions and modeling, statistical and predictive analytics, and data warehouse (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, etc…).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to process ambiguous and or seemingly conflicting data / information, including collaboration with business partners, to identify solutions to create “one version of truth” across Adtalem
- At least 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following, analytics, financial analysis, statistical modeling and analysis, or related field
- Experience in project management, collaboration and stakeholder management working with all levels of leadership.
- Areas of expertise including student finance, Title IV, registrar functions, and/or Student Services knowledge a plus.
- Can handle responsibility without authority – i.e. able to facilitate execution of analytics projects across multiple departments and institutions within Adtalem Global Education.
- Exhibits a strong executive leadership presence coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays strong strategic-planning skills complimented with exceptional business acumen.
- Ability to coordinate and drive multiple projects and results involving several business units.
- Ability to develop and motivate teams to meet or exceed goals

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $97253.99 and $175761.85. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
