Opportunity at a Glance

We are seeking a Manager, Corporate Events for the Global Communications organization, reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations and Events.

This person will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of corporate events, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences for both internal and external participants. This role requires excellent organization and project management skills and a passion for creating impactful events that inform, engage and inspire our nearly 10,000 colleagues and strategic partners (e.g., alumni, investors, policymakers, industry leaders, hospitals and health systems) and connect our communities with our mission, vision and strategic values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution, logistics, and on-site support for Adtalem corporate meetings and events including but not limited to town halls, executive meetings, team retreats, conferences, and sponsorship engagements.
  • Oversee catering, audio visual, event signage and presentation materials, transportation, and accommodations to ensure seamless execution and an elevated event experience.
  • In partnership with the senior manager, help to create a ‘Corporate Events Center of Excellence,’ to identify overall events strategy and goals, events playbook, master calendar, and process to implement scalable programs and best practices across teams.
  • Stay on top of industry leading tools and technologies for virtual and in-person events.
  • Analyze and report on event KPIs and event outcomes. Assist in creating post-event recaps for senior leadership.  
  • Continuously oversee and track all expenses, invoices, and payment schedules throughout the event cycle.
  • Research and maintain a database of event vendors, suppliers, venues, restaurants, hotels, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with internal departments (e.g., legal, supply management, IT, compliance, finance) and other contacts throughout the organization.
  • Share best practices with the Global Communications and Corporate Affairs team.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, communications, or related field
  •  5+ years of event management/ planning experience
  • Proven experience in corporate events and executive level meeting planning
  • Experience in large conference event planning
  • Skilled in managing small to mid-level budgets for meetings and events
  • Proven experience in orchestrating
  • Proficiency in event and meeting management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with senior level management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and be adaptable to changing event needs and last-minute adjustments
  • Ability to travel – domestic and international

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59,923.09 and $108,334.92. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
