Opportunity at a Glance
The Business Systems Senior Analyst – Accounts Receivables position delivers business system capability that ensures ISS provides exceptional services to ATGE. Leverages resources and analytical/system development expertise to provide ISS colleagues and stakeholders with data, information and insight presented in a way that enables informed decision making. The Sr Analyst, Business Systems and Analytics builds, maintains and improves ISS business systems. As a senior business systems analyst, takes a lead role in identifying improvement opportunities and leads projects for successful implementation and completion. Facilitates and promotes collaboration with internal and ATGE stakeholders including IT/Product Development and institutions, and coordinates/drives work projects to ensure compliance, efficiency and effective delivery of ISS business systems. Provides training and mentorship/guidance to fellow or less experienced analysts and provides constructive feedback for their personal development and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages strong skill and expertise in business systems and/or analytics, specifically in the Accounts Receivables (AR) module, to successfully lead functional/technical analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation of system enhancements, and perform production maintenance, supporting the success of ISS, ATGE and multiple institutions.
  • Supports ISS and multiple institutions, potentially leveraging independent systems and data sources. This involves gaining expertise in AR policies and setup for the different institutions supported by the team.
  • Facilitates and promotes collaboration with stakeholders to make systems and/or analytics/data tools adaptable for efficient and effective stakeholder interactions, decision making and processing functionality.  This includes helping provide background on current configuration, assess requirements and proposed solution and testing requirements.
  • Creates and ensures that all Bus Systems and Intelligence project / process plans, reports, dashboards, and updates clearly and intuitively convey key information to stakeholders for the purpose of supporting quality business decisions.
  • Manages multiple projects according to plan. Monitors, assigns work, follows up and and reports progress to ensure work is delivered timely.
  • Proactive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, to standardize, improve service, achieve consistency/compliance and reduce rework while maintaining high levels of quality.
  • Identifies and performs annual and ad hoc modifications into system configuration, reports and dashboards to maximize effectiveness.  Conducts necessary reviews and validation to ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Supports compliance with Federal, State and Institutional regulations.  . Maintains documents and evidences that support compliance to regulations.
  • Performs data validation and testing of new and existing Banner functionalities and technical solutions to satisfy business requirements. Performs testing of solutions against design and business requirements to ensure a quality result which delivers upon targets and expectations.
  • Develops and documents User Acceptance Testing processes and adheres to 4 Process Change Controls required by Internal Audit.
  • Perform daily and scheduled production maintenance tasks and fulfill customer requests. Ensure that SLAs are met and related business processes run smoothly.
  • Understands and plans to ensure that system design changes (internal and external/IT driven) do not negatively impact processing,
  • Coordinates with IT and other business partners to ensure all data integrations are running smoothly and that any issues are immediately identified, resolved and plans in place to ensure ongoing accuracy/compliance.
  • Leads project tasks associated with the implementation or modification of a Student Finance system.
  • Is responsive and reports status of all projects and issue resolution to appropriate stakeholders and ISS Leadership. Provides proactive updates until through completion/resolution.
  • Leads in absence of the manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Technology, Business, Analytics, and/or Education.
  • 1+ years' experience as Analyst, Business Systems and Analytics (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with applicable business systems (Banner).
  • Expertise in understanding and analyzing business needs, designing solutions based on needs, and articulating business impacts.
  • Experience developing solutions through review of existing processes / reporting / configuration, incorporating business requirements, design, configuration / build, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience in leading project / work teams, collaborating with IT, institutions, and all stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely results.
  • Experience working in multiple Information Technology environments.
  • Consistently plans, designs, and executes high quality advanced systems / analytics tools in addition to proactively leading complex work assignments and project teams.
  • Expert understanding of business processes impacted by the business systems and/or analytical tools which this role supports.
  • Banner configuration skills.
  • Technical skills in understanding SQL preferred.
  • Detailed and process oriented with demonstrated capabilities in business process design, modeling and requirements analysis; ability to translate into detailed system requirements and specifications.

 


Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $42661.58 and $75065.24. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
