Opportunity at a Glance
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for ensuring, processes and services that support benefits are delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible while delivering the highest quality of customer service. Responsibilities include identifying, designing, and implementing more efficient methods to streamline processes and programs while utilizing new and existing technology which will optimize productivity. The Specialist will play a key role in managing change effectively and ensuring effective change management processes are used for any transition. Working closely with the with all aspects of HR, this role will primarily specialize in a benefits while providing project management support on initiatives such as Engagement, Integrations and Technology Implementations. The HR Operations Specialist will report to the Benefits Director.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day administration of organization-wide benefit programs
- Provides analytical and implementation support across benefits: data gathering; perform audits, manage benefits vendors and market data analysis; costing and analysis of benefit structure/ program changes to align to benefit strategy and market competitiveness; trend reporting; etc.
- Handles all escalated benefit cases that require research or complex issues
- Serve as project manager for implementation, acquisition and expansion efforts Globally.
- Heavily involved in completing scheduled audit efforts and testing, 401k and Open Enrollment
- Regularly trains askHR in their specialty area to ensure the best customer service is achieved and maintained at all times.
- Proficient across all benefits globally based on their specialty area
- Presents operational analytics to benefits leaders, identifying areas of opportunity and process improvements with overall function.
- Develops, updates, maintains, and/or monitors routine and ad hoc benefits reports and systems to reflect accurate and up to date employee data.
- The incumbent will maintain a solid understanding of ongoing regulatory changes that influence benefit programs and will effectively apply his or her understanding of related internal policies, processes and procedures, and the rationale behind such policies to complete daily work.
- May participate in the administration of certain HR plans and programs, as applicable.

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Required or
- related field. Required
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources, experience as a Generalist or within a specialty function such as compensation, benefits, HRIS or related field Preferred
- High learning agility, curious. Strives to become expert across all functions
- Quantitative analysis; must understand numbers, pay attention to detail and work with complex spreadsheets
- Strive to culminate relationships and is able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, including with leadership
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and HCM system required. Ability to present data in an effective and efficient manner to COE Leaders
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and within a fast-paced team environment is critical. Must possess high attention to detail. Must have the ability to prioritize work and follow up with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation and benefits
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills including coaching, consulting, teamwork, negotiation, influencing and collaboration.
- Strong and solid process and project management skills needed to be effective.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $47766.34 and $86253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
