Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
Reporting to the VP, Student Services, this position is responsible for managing operations in the student services department related to training and communications.   This position is the primary liaison for campus presidents for hiring and performance management activities for the Student Services Managers.  This position is also responsible for the full implementation of student services on new campuses.    

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of student services department at all new campuses  This includes developing and managing a training plan for staff, assessing skill mastery, providing oversight during start up, and managing a float pool to assist a new campus in areas of student finance and academic advising, registrar services, career services and student affairs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to campus managers.   Conduct bi-weekly manager calls.   Plan and lead the annual manager summit.  Provide training to new managers.
  • Identify and lead large scale process improvement efforts and process changes in the delivery of student services.
  • Maintain expertise in regulatory and compliance trends that impact the delivery of student services, and make recommendations for change across all locations.
  • Provide guidance to new campus presidents in the management of their student service staff.
  • Ensure that all college communications related to student services is accurate and timely.
  • Oversee all student services training that is delivered to colleagues to maintain consistency, compliance and to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Manage a staff of communication and training specialists.
  • Develop continuous improvement plans related to training and systems.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • This position is a designated Campus Security Authority.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 5 years in higher education including management responsibilities. Required
  • Knowledge of regulations related to higher education including Title IV, academic policies, auditing procedures.
  • Ability to influence peers, superiors and indirect reports in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Ability to lead change.
  • Communication skills, aptitude for working in multiple software systems

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $140,851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
