Job Description

The position will provide thought leadership in the Portfolio Performance, Demand and Capacity Management. The candidate will understand enterprise and IT goals and priorities and devise measurements, KPIs, metrics, and create dashboards and visualizations of meaningful measures of IT portfolio progress.

The candidate will evaluate current state tools and processes around demand, resource and capacity management and will strategize, procure / build and implement processes and tools to provide an IT wide view of Demand, capacity and forecast.

The candidate will form and lead a team of analysts, and work with leaders and teams across IT to continually improve portfolio performance and reporting, as well as demand and capacity management processes and tools.

 

  • Ideate, plan, formulate and manage IT KPIs, metrics, dashboards and visualizations for IT Portfolio progress and IT wide meaningful operational measures aligned to enterprise and IT goals.
  • Evaluate current state IT Resource and capacity management tools and processes.
  • Ideate, develop/procure, and implement the next generation of IT Resource and capacity management systems and processes enabling an IT wide view of all demand, capacity, forecast and trends.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the areas of IT portfolio and operational metrics, measurements. 
  • Provide thought leadership and drive IT financial budget planning and forecast / actuals measurement. Provide thought leadership, and drive IT financial budget planning and forecast/actuals measurement
  • Drive design and development of multi-year strategy encompassing People, Process, and Technology to enable the IT function to take decisions based in data.
  • Monthly and Quarterly reviews of key measures with IT Senior Leaders.
  • Mentor and Lead team members and drive a high performing team.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field Required or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ten (10) years of IT Demand, Capacity and Resource Management experience.
  • Ten (10) years of IT Project, Program and/or Portfolio Management experience with exposure to both Waterfall and Agile ways of working
  • Five (5) IT Management experience including strategic leadership, business relationship management and financial tracking. 
  • Ten (10) years experience managing large complex projects.
  • Five (5) years experience working in an Agile environment with Agile tools and methods.
  • Five (5) years experience managing IT budgets, costs, financials and forecasting..
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Resource, Demand and Capacity management concepts, methods and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Project, Program and Portfolio management, and measurement of portfolio progress.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Agile work management systems like Jira/Azure, DevOps/Rally or similar and Project Management systems like Microsoft Project or similar..
  • Intermediate level knowledge of data manipulation and visualization technologies similar to SQL, PowerBI/Tableau/Smartsheet/Google Data Studio/Looker. 
  • Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, deliver meaningful results and inspire others. 
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions including effective communication, risk management, and risk-based decision-making. 
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a consultative role with other Senior Technology Managers and IT Executive Leadership. 
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally in a corporate environment, work in cross-functional collaborative teams and implement organizational change management.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $77,996.84 and $140,851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
